BloodMoney 2 is the sequel to the standalone game BloodMoney!, and is set after the events of the previous game. The central character is Harvey Harvington, who in this version exists as a lost computer program. You, as Eun-Mi (Harvey's wife), are responsible for caring for and interacting with him.
You can perform actions such as: feed, pet, interact, play mini-games and make verbal or emotional choices with Harvey.
Every action has consequences: Harvey's memory records what happens, and you cannot completely "erase" mistakes or damage if you make a mistake.
The interface and controls are quite simple: most operations are performed via the mouse, 1 button (one-button mechanics) to select, interact or perform mini-games. There are many mini-games mixed in to break the tension and to unlock pieces of memories, interactions, or emotional effects on Harvey.
At the end of the game, there are 2 main endings (“True Ending” or “Dead Ending”) depending on how you handled Harvey throughout the game.
Theme of morality and responsibility: the game is not simply “virtual care”, but you have to weigh and measure between personal interests and Harvey’s health and spirit.
Psychological tension: the environment is light (with “cute” graphics or soft sounds) but the content is dark, putting pressure on each decision.
Voice acting and sound: there is a voice acting element to increase the psychological effect of Harvey’s story.
High replay value: because there are different choices leading to different endings, the player can come back to try another direction.
