Kick the Buddy isn’t a game about deep stories or defensive tactics; it’s a digital punching bag for stress relief.
It dumps you into an empty room with "Buddy"—a ragdoll who is invincible and can take any type of physical agony. You get to choose from a huge and bizarre armoury of weapons, including firearms, grenades, chainsaws, and supernatural events like lightning strikes, black holes, and even the sheer force of gods. The more damage you inflict, the more in-game currency you earn, which can be used to unlock increasingly creative—and brutal—ways to interact with him.
Use taps, swipes, and drag-and-drop gestures to slam Buddy against the walls, stretch his limbs, or toss him into pre-set traps.
Open your inventory, select weapons from a vast array of categories, and tap the screen to fire, drop explosives, or trigger special effects.
Every successful hit yields "Bucks" (the game's primary currency). When Buddy’s health bar is depleted, he is knocked out (K.O.), rewarding you with a large sum of cash before he automatically respawns, completely unharmed.
Instead of manually firing weapons, set up automated, contact-based hazards—such as spike traps, laser mines, or ceiling fans—throughout the room. Pick Buddy up and drop him so that he bounces repeatedly between these traps, allowing your earnings to accumulate automatically.
Weapons categorized under "chemical" or "divine power" often have an area-of-effect that covers the entire room. Activating them locks Buddy into a continuous stream of damage, eliminating the need for precise aiming.
Once Buddy reaches the K.O. state—signaled by black bars appearing on the screen—don’t stop firing immediately. Keep the damage coming for a few extra seconds to squeeze out every bit of bonus cash before the system resets the dummy.
Enjoy your time playing Kick the Buddy!
